Why the Shop Has a Closing Date at All

That shop was never meant to stay open indefinitely. It’s tied to the tournament’s event hub, and Valve has consistently built a hard stop into every Major’s sticker economy so the set eventually becomes a fixed-supply collectible rather than an item players can keep buying on demand.

From that date, pricing is governed purely by secondary-market supply and demand, the same way older, capsule-era Major stickers have always behaved once their original sale window closed.
