CS.MONEY

  • 3–5% Seller Fee
  • 0% Buyer Fee
  • 0% Deposit Fee
  • 0% Withdrawal Fee

Introduction

CS.MONEY is a marketplace for Steam items, focused on CS2 skins. It has been operating since 2016 and is run by CS VIRTUAL TRADE LTD, headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus, with Trade mode operated by G2G Marketplace Limited in Hong Kong. It remains one of the largest and most recognised trading platforms in the CS2 ecosystem.

How the market works

CS.MONEY supports both P2P and bot-based listings. With P2P, an item stays in the seller's inventory until it sells, and the seller manually approves the trade. With bot listings, the item is transferred to a platform bot first. P2P is generally better for sellers; bot inventory is faster for buyers.

Fees explained

In Market mode the seller fee is 5% under $1,000 and 3% at $1,000 and above; Trade mode is a separate product and carries its own 7% sale commission. There is no buyer fee, and CS.MONEY charges nothing of its own to deposit or cash out — but its terms are explicit that you pay the payment provider's commission on top, which the cashout page says usually stays under 2%. The headline rate sits well below Steam's 15% and above the lowest-fee third-party markets.

How to buy

Set your Steam inventory to public, add your trade link, and enable mobile authentication. Search for the item, select it, choose a payment method, and confirm — the trade offer arrives in your Steam account.

How to sell

Open the Sell tab, select the skins you want to list, set your prices, and confirm. Items stay in your inventory until sold, with the platform acting as intermediary and releasing payment once the buyer receives the item.

Cashing out

Balance earned through the market can be withdrawn to a VISA card or PayPal after account verification, with a $10 minimum and a $1,000 daily cap. Processing takes up to five days. CS.MONEY takes no cashout fee itself; the payment provider’s cut — usually under 2% — is shown to you at withdrawal time. Balance earned from trades is not withdrawable.

History & incidents

In August 2022 the platform was compromised and a large volume of skins was stolen — press coverage put the loss at around $6M, while CS.MONEY’s own account of the breach puts it closer to $11M. The site was taken offline for roughly a month, and about half the items were recovered after the attacker was identified. The platform has also faced long-running community criticism over pricing transparency and hidden fees.

Who it's for

Best suited to traders who value inventory depth, speed and payment flexibility over the lowest possible fee. Fee-sensitive high-volume sellers will usually find better margins elsewhere.
