DMarket

DMarket

  • 2–10% Seller Fee
  • 0% Buyer Fee
  • 2–3.95% Deposit Fee
  • 0% Withdrawal Fee

Introduction

DMarket is one of the largest marketplaces in this comparison by review volume, with close to 22,000 Trustpilot reviews. Notably, its rating sits at 4.0 — respectable, but the lowest of the major platforms here, and its own review page is where the reasons are easiest to find.

How the market works

DMarket runs both models at once. There is a conventional instant buy backed by platform inventory, and a peer-to-peer mode called Face2Face where sellers set their own price and items move directly between Steam accounts. Most competitors pick one approach; DMarket lets you choose per trade.

Fees explained

The CS2 sell fee starts at 2% and climbs to 10% for less liquid items, while other games sit at a flat 5%. Buying from the storefront is free — DMarket’s own help centre states that “the buyer pays no fees for this operation.” The 2.5% figure often quoted as DMarket’s buyer fee actually belongs to Trade, a separate item-for-item swap feature, not ordinary purchases. Withdrawals carry no DMarket commission at all — the platform states it adds nothing to a payout — but the payment system handling the transfer takes a percentage DMarket does not publish, so the amount that reaches your account is not the amount you requested. Funding the account isn’t free either: DMarket does not publish a deposit rate, but third-party figures put it at 2–3.95%, depending on the rail you use to pay in.

How to buy

Purchase directly from listings or through Face2Face for a peer-to-peer trade. Inventory updates are not always instant, so allow a few minutes for a purchase to appear.

How to sell

List through the standard bot-assisted flow or via Face2Face, choosing DMarket’s recommended price or setting your own. Liquidity is the variable that matters most here, since it is what pushes the CS2 sell fee from 2% towards 10%.

Cashing out

DMarket separates withdrawable funds from trading funds, and only the former can leave the platform — worth checking which one a sale credited. Payouts run through PayPal, Skrill or Payoneer within 48 hours, or by bank wire and SEPA in up to seven business days, subject to verification.

Who it's for

A good fit if you want one account covering several games and value having both instant and peer-to-peer selling in one place, plus free storefront buying. Less good if you are trading illiquid CS2 skins, where the sell fee alone can reach 10%.

Advantages & Disadvantages

Advantages

  • Both instant and peer-to-peer selling in a single platform
  • Buying from the storefront carries no DMarket fee at all
  • Five payout rails including PayPal, Skrill, Payoneer and bank transfer
  • Covers Dota 2 and other titles alongside CS2

Disadvantages

  • CS2 sell fee climbs to 10% on lower-liquidity items
  • The 2.5% Trade (swap) fee is easy to mistake for a charge on ordinary buying
  • Withdrawable and trading funds are separate, which catches sellers out
  • 4.0 is the weakest rating among the large marketplaces here
  • Payment-processor fees are only disclosed at the point of transaction
