Introduction

CSFloat is a peer-to-peer CS2 marketplace run by CSFloat Inc. from Dover, Delaware, founded in 2020. It grew out of the float-checking tool of the same name, and that heritage shows: it is built around inspecting exactly what you are buying, with float and pattern filtering as first-class features rather than afterthoughts.

How the market works

Items move directly from the seller’s Steam inventory to the buyer’s — CSFloat never holds your skins. When Valve removed the API endpoints that marketplaces had been using to verify P2P trades in April 2024, CSFloat responded by building its own browser extension to prove delivery, rather than the Steam session workarounds some competitors adopted.

Fees explained

A flat 2% seller fee and no buyer fee — CSFloat runs a seller-only fee model, so a buyer pays exactly the listed price. That puts it among the cheapest places here on both sides of a trade. The cost that catches people out is on the edges: ACH deposits run 1.5%, card and iDEAL both run 2.8%, and SEPA runs 3.3%, and withdrawals are tiered from 2.5% down to 0.5% as your cumulative sales volume grows. How to sell

Cashing out

Payouts run through Stripe to a bank account or debit card across more than 115 countries, or as USDC on Polygon if you prefer crypto with negligible network fees. Identity verification can be requested at any point. Reinvesting your balance into another skin avoids the withdrawal fee entirely.
