Introduction

CS.TRADE is a bot-based trading site for CS2, Dota 2, Rust and TF2 skins, operated by Aimskins Sp. z o.o., a Polish company registered in Kraków. It's been running since 2017 and says it has processed trades for more than two million users — every trade goes straight against its own Steam bots rather than another trader's inventory.

How the market works

There's no listing or waiting for a buyer here — every trade is instant, against CS.TRADE's own bot inventory. Sign in with Steam, pick items from your inventory and the bot's to trade, and confirm on Steam; the same 'Trade' action works in both directions, so sending your own items credits your wallet and receiving bot items spends it. A dedicated 'Trader PRO' tier, currently free for everyone, unlocks a lower commission.

Fees explained

CS.TRADE folds its commission into the price rather than billing it as a separate line item: “the value shown in your inventory and in the trade preview is the final value.” That commission — 6–8% normally, 3–5% on the Trader PRO tier that's temporarily free for all users, plus up to 3% more on items that aren't yet trade-lock-free — is taken only when you deposit your own skins; buying and withdrawing carry no extra charge because it's already priced in. Topping up with real money carries no fee either — currently a 50% bonus applies instead. There is no cash-withdrawal fee to quote, because there is no cash withdrawal at all yet: CS.TRADE's own homepage calls it “coming soon.”

How to buy

Fund your wallet with card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), PayPal, BLIK, Skrill or Revolut, or skip cash entirely and trade your own skins in for balance. Trades complete in seconds once you confirm on Steam — there's no waiting on a seller.

How to sell

Send skins to CS.TRADE’s bots and the commission comes off automatically — what you see quoted is what lands in your wallet, since the fee is already priced into that number. A distinctive rule: depositing a CS2 item locks your account out of trading Rust, Dota 2 or TF2 items on the site for nine days, a fraud control aimed at people mixing its flagship game with the smaller ones.

Cashing out

This is the one place CS.TRADE doesn't behave like a typical marketplace: wallet balance can only be redeemed as more skins through a Steam trade offer, never as cash. CS.TRADE's own homepage frames a real-money withdrawal as a feature still in development rather than a permanent policy, so treat it today as a skin-swapping and inventory-upgrading tool rather than a way to liquidate a collection.

Verification

Trading at all requires a public Steam inventory, a saved Trade URL, and the Steam Mobile Authenticator active for at least 14 days — CS.TRADE can decline a trade Steam itself would hold, but it can't waive that hold. Identity verification, via Veriff, is the exception rather than the rule: it only triggers when CS.TRADE's fraud check flags a money deposit, and you can decline it and request a refund instead of completing it. Unspent balance bought with real money can be refunded within 20 days of purchase.

Who it's for

A good fit for someone actively trading or upgrading a CS2, Dota 2, Rust or TF2 inventory who's happy to be paid in more skins rather than cash. A poor fit today for anyone whose goal is turning a collection into money in a bank account — that route doesn't exist on CS.TRADE yet.

Advantages & Disadvantages

Advantages

  • The displayed price already includes all fees — no surprise charges appear at trade confirmation
  • Trades settle in seconds against CS.TRADE's own bot inventory, with no waiting on another seller
  • Covers four games — CS2, Dota 2, Rust and TF2 — from one wallet and one trade flow
  • Strong, live-verified Trustpilot record: 4.5/5 across 344 reviews
  • The Trader PRO tier that lowers the seller commission is currently free for every user

Disadvantages

  • No cash withdrawal exists yet — wallet balance can only be redeemed as more skins, never real money
  • The seller commission is reported inconsistently even across CS.TRADE's own pages — 6–8% on one, a flat 8% on another — so the exact rate is worth double-checking at trade time
  • Depositing a CS2 item locks the account out of trading Rust, Dota 2 or TF2 items for nine days
  • Requires the Steam Mobile Authenticator to have been active for 14 days before you can trade at all
  • No Instagram or Telegram presence, unlike most competitors
