ShadowPay

ShadowPay

  • 5% Seller Fee
  • 0% Buyer Fee
  • 0% Deposit Fee
  • 5% Withdrawal Fee

Introduction

ShadowPay is a listing marketplace covering CS2, Dota 2 and Rust, run through two entities depending on where you are: BINARYLORE PTE. LIMITED in Singapore for the rest of the world, and Vozzby LTD in Limassol, Cyprus for EU users.

How the market works

Sellers list items and ShadowPay matches them with buyers, generating a Steam trade offer through its extension or app. The catch is timing: once something sells you have five minutes to confirm the trade in your Steam mobile authenticator, which is a much tighter window than most competitors allow.

Fees explained

Listing an item on the marketplace costs 5%. Buying costs nothing, and ShadowPay states no deposit fee either, so the platform earns on the way out rather than the way in. The instant-sell option is a completely different proposition — ShadowPay’s own FAQ puts a 65% figure on it, which most plausibly means the platform keeps that share and the seller receives the rest, so treat it as a deep-discount liquidity route rather than a fee in any normal sense. Cashing out then costs another 5% on top of whichever route you used.

How to buy

Deposit by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Zen or cryptocurrency, then buy from listings using your balance. Deposits are the most flexible part of the platform.

How to sell

List an item on the marketplace for the standard 5% fee, or take the instant-sell route if speed matters more than value — ShadowPay’s FAQ puts a 65% figure on that option, read as the platform’s share of the sale. Once a listed item finds a buyer, confirm the Steam trade through your mobile authenticator within five minutes or the sale falls through.

Cashing out

Funds are held for eight days after a sale before they can be withdrawn, and the payout itself carries a 5% fee. Between the sale commission and the withdrawal charge, ShadowPay tolls both ends of a transaction, which is worth modelling before you commit to it as a selling venue.

Who it's for

Reasonable for patient sellers who list at 5% and can wait out the eight-day hold. A poor choice if you need money quickly — the instant-sell route gives up most of the item’s value, and the 5% withdrawal fee applies either way.

Frequently Asked Questions

5% to list an item on the marketplace, with nothing charged to buy or to deposit. The separate instant-sell option is far more expensive — ShadowPay’s own FAQ puts a 65% figure on it, read as the platform’s share — and a 5% withdrawal fee then applies whichever route you took.
